For details on this
week's program scroll to the bottom of this screen.
Only in week fifteen, we have generated
an unusual amount of interest from the press and the public in general. We are very thankful for all the support we have
received so far and are fully committed to providing an exciting and unique event each Sunday morning. What, you may ask,
is The Church of Beethoven?
We are a group of musicians from the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra who present
a varied program of classical music and poetry with the occasional singalong each Sunday morning at 10:30 am. Our venue is
The Filling Station, a converted gas station at 1024 4th St SW in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. The historic building
seats 100 and has great sight lines and acoustics. The espresso bar, by EspressoArtists, is open one hour before and after
the show with a full line of espresso-based coffees and hand bagged teas.
On May 18, 2008 at 10:30 am we will present violinists Carmelo de los Santos and David
Felberg along with returning poet Frank Calabretta and a nine-member orchestra. Carmelo will start things off with Bach's
Chaconne in d minor for Solo Violin. Frank will read poems of his own and others and the program ends with Tchaikovsky's
Violin Concerto in D major, first movement. David Felberg will perform the solo part.
Our programs change
every week and the new programs are uploaded to this website on Wednesday. They are available on YouTube (keyword: churchofbeethoven)
